After a great run in 2007 and a 14-2 regular season record, hopes were high that this team would repeat or exceed the achievements of the previous year. This wasn’t going to be the case as the Jaguars faltered and ended 2008 as a team on the go.

During the next game last season, Jacksonville was able to fend off the Detroit Lions with a “final seconds” field goal and pull off another win, but the effort was too little, too late. The 2008 schedule ended for the Jacksonville Jaguars with the bitter realization that their 5-11 performance was one of the worst records in the franchise’s brief history.

8. Murren – Murren is truly a picturesque sight to see. Located on a high cliff in the Lauterbrunnen Valley at over 5,400 feet. up in the air, this mountain village can only be reached by cable car. With some of the best hiking and sledding trails in all of Switzerland, you’ll have no trouble finding things to do when the snow isn’t at its best (summer months). However, during peak snow season, you’ll find that Murren offers some of the best snow and slopes, appealing to more advanced skiers.

7. Davos/Klosters – Davos is located in eastern Switzerland on the Landwasser river. Davos’s popularity has waned a bit since its heyday and the town is a bit run down. Klosters offers a better alternative and attracts many skiers from the Netherlands and the UK. This region offers wide slopes for the less experienced skier. There are plenty of things to do, including great hiking trails and exciting restaurants high up in the sky.

6. Laax/Movies/Falera – This area offers a wide range of summer sports. Ski and snowboard competitions are held during the winter months. Altogether, the area of ​​Laax/Films/Falera occupies more than 130 m2. miles of excellent skiing opportunities. With over 120 miles of world-class skiing, Grindelwald skiers have many different areas to choose from, with most choosing Kleine Scheidegg for a great skiing experience. What sets this place apart from the others are the slopes accessible only by helicopter. Griendwald has some of the best helicopter skiing in the world! Plus, you’ll be surprised to find that Grindelwald is a hub of activity. If you ever tire of the slopes, (highly unlikely) Grindelwald is packed with museums, world-class golf courses and a wide variety of other adventure sports.

3. St Moritz– Want to experience a resort steeped in rich history, world-class accommodations, and over 300 days of sunshine? If so, St. Moritz is the place for you! Located in the extreme southeast of Switzerland, St. Moritz is one of the most famous destinations in Switzerland. Beginners will enjoy the Corviglia area, where they will experience relatively easy slopes, while advanced skiers will soak up the mind-numbing bliss of Pontresina. The view is said to be majestic. However, as with many of the other high-end resorts in Switzerland, be prepared to spend quite a bit of money!

The slopes are kept in perfect condition during the spring months and are a wonderful alternative to the sometimes crowded winter. The wide variety of unique and challenging courses suit both beginner and advanced skiers. Tortin has always been rated as a big draw for experts, while Verbier’s many ski training spots create a fun environment for beginners. Plus, great hotels, restaurants, sports activities and nightlife make Verbier one of the top ski destinations and tourist attractions in the world.
