the nothing

Many years ago, a dear friend and I were chatting about our favorite topic at the time: the demonstration. She was a master at creating and magnetizing anything she desired and she was very generous in sharing the techniques she used with me.

“I don’t own these methods,” she said. “They belong to all of us. The more people know how powerful they are in creating their lives, the better they will do. What I share with you is designed to be used to consciously create the things you love. If everyone did this, we would have a better world”.

And so I share with you this piece of information that she gave me about manifesting in your life what you love.

Before you can add to your life what you would like to have or be, you must make room for it. Until you get rid of those things in your life that make you feel negative emotions, you won’t be able to bring into your life the things that you want to make you feel happy. When you buy a new sofa, you can’t put it in your house until you get rid of the old one. The same goes for anything negative that is taking up space in your life, be it a person, a thing, or a belief.

This is where the No-Thing mode comes into play.

The premise of No-Thing is that you have one emotion about everything in your life. That emotion varies in intensity and quality. You may absolutely hate and loathe something or you may find it mildly annoying. You can adore something or just like yourself a little. To the extent that you feel the emotion, you are attached to that thing. So if you feel extreme hatred for, say, your job, it will be more difficult for you to leave it than if you simply find it unpleasant.

Also, whatever specific thing you hate about your job, even if you quit your current job and find another, that thing you hate will follow you to the next job. Until you release your hateful emotional attachment to that thing, it will continue to be a part of your life. It must become a No-Thing in order for you to get rid of it.

How do you make the emotional ties you don’t want disappear from your life? Here are some techniques to help you get rid of an emotional attachment and turn it into a Nothing:

1. Shrinkage: Close your eyes and imagine what you hate. She feels the emotion. Now make that vision start to get smaller and smaller. Notice as you get smaller in size how your emotional response becomes less intense. Reduce it until it disappears completely. Repeat as desired.

2. Moving: Close your eyes and imagine what you hate. If it is an action, imagine yourself doing it. Now move that vision away from you and watch it recede into the distance, further and further away until you can no longer see it. Notice how it feels as it moves away from you. Repeat as many times as you want.

3. Talk: Close your eyes and imagine what you hate. If it’s an activity, give it shape and color or some other kind of identity. Ask him these questions: What are you teaching me? What do I have to know or do to break up with you? What is the opposite of you that would be beneficial for me to attract to myself?

The good news is that the emotional attachment you have to the things you love keeps them in your life.

Rent video games? Online Rentals vs. Storefront Rentals

Store rentals had been the only dominant market for more than 12 years when I wanted to rent video games, since the inception of the VCR. Many companies have taken their business online due to the fact that the start-up costs are remarkably lower compared to store costs and they can virtually expand their business to an entire nation or the world in a few months. Why not expand the same concept to movie and game rentals? It was only a matter of time.

Depending on where you live and the geography of that area, I can definitely say that this will have a big influence on where you choose to rent video games. Many rental companies can be found within a few miles of your home, but others are at distances that you may not want to travel every time you need to return a game.

Fast and reliable service is a very important factor for most people living in the information age. Everything has to be now and fast these days. So let’s take a look at some factors that will help make your decision a little easier. Convenience, games in stock, game formats, availability, pricing, and customer service are the general factors we consider for any movie or game rental company. Let’s see each one:

CONVENIENCE: If you live in a rural area, then online game rental is definitely your best option. Traveling more than 8 miles out of your way to rent anything is more than most people have time to do. Being able to have your rentals delivered to your doorstep, in the country, is a huge benefit to online game rentals.

If you live in a more urban or suburban neighborhood, your nearest branch locations will determine this for you, but you can never really beat games delivered to your door every day, even if you have a mile to travel. . Being able to pick up your game in your pajamas or bathrobe without getting dressed to go to your local store is laziness and convenience at its finest. WINNER: ONLINE RENTALS!

IN STOCK GAMES – This can vary from store to store, but for the most part they are about the same. Most of the larger stores (Hollywood Video and Blockbuster) can stock 50-100 games at a time. This number is not even close to the stock of games offered by online rental clubs. We’re looking at 2,000 games at the bottom tier to over 3,500 games at the top end of the table. You’re also more likely to find more old and new games available to rent at any given time. WINNER: ONLINE RENTALS!

AVAILABILITY – I never felt like I had too many options when it comes to renting in stores. It was more of a deduction of what was left to choose from by the time you got there. When it comes to online rentals, you can pretty much play any game you’ve ever wanted to play at any time. There are, of course, some games from time to time that may have a short wait attached to them, but during those times, you’ll easily be able to choose another game from the thousands listed. Once that particular searched game is available, you will know it every time you log into your account, instantly. WINNER: ONLINE RENTALS!

GAME FORMATS – While I always thought having PS2, Xbox and Gamecube games available was a great selection at local rental stores, I didn’t even know how good it could be until online rentals introduced their selection. Online rentals not only contain the top 3 consoles but also have portable game rentals like Game Boy Advance, PSP and Nintendo DS. Many of the biggest online stores also offer XBOX 360 and PS3 games for the next generation as soon as the consoles come out. WINNER: ONLINE RENTALS!

PRICES- Renting games has always been a bit cheap ($5-$8), but it can definitely add up depending on how often you rent. If you are renting more than 5-6 per month, plus late fees, which will happen from time to time, you may have to pay out of pocket sooner than expected. Online rentals make it easy for you. Rent X amount of games and keep them for as long as you want for only X amount. Game prices fluctuate from game plan to game plan, but these prices are still much lower than what you’ll find at your local store. Check the prices here. WINNER: ONLINE RENTALS!

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Waiting in lines and dealing with crowds and irritable video game rental employees is enough to drive anyone crazy. This in itself can make you not want to deal with your local rental shop at all costs. On the other hand, online rentals have no lines, crowded stores, or irritable employees to deal with, so the experience is completely eliminated! Just select a movie from your browser and allow 1-3 business days for delivery and that’s it. If you ever have trouble receiving or returning games, please email customer support and your query will be answered within 24 hours. Some of these online rental companies even have phone support! WINNER: ONLINE RENTALS!

9 professional tips to start investing in property

1. Know your budget

Before you dive into real estate investing, it is essential that you have a thorough understanding of your cash flow. Also, ask your bank to pre-approve your investment loan so you know how much you can borrow before looking for your properties.

2. Don’t Skip Ongoing Costs

Make sure you have enough budget for insurance, fees, and general repairs. When you’ve purchased your perfect investment property, learn what you can do to stop costly maintenance issues like replacing old faucets.

3. Buy in the growth area

Choose an investment property in areas where there is a strong demand for rental accommodation. Therefore, buying an asset for transportation, schools, or universities will make it more attractive to tenants.

4. Be practical with your investment goals

If you’re looking for a long-term property for rapid capital growth, then it’s easy to renovate properties and convert them for a quick profit. In slow economic times, it can take many years to get the same growth.

5. Create sweat equity

Paying a dealer to renovate your investment property is an expensive affair. But if he’s prepared to get in on it, you can increase your profit margin and save money by doing the work for him.

6. Look for the habitable but avoid the Grand One

Keep in mind that the rental property just has to be neat, clean and functional. Do not buy a luxury asset as it has a fancy decor and interior.

7. Don’t get excited about buying

When looking for a house, you should buy with your head, not your heart, as some people can easily get caught up in emotions. While the house on the steep block may offer you fascinating views, renovating it could be a nightmare for you due to excavation or retention costs. Also, make sure you know the benefits and risks.

8. Think before negative engagement

Your asset may be negatively oriented if investment loan payments are not fully covered by rent. While this can offer tax benefits, it can also lead to financial problems if you don’t have enough cash flow to cover loan repayments. Therefore, you should consider your budget carefully before purchasing.

9. Inspect your building

Before signing any buyer’s contract, take the time to thoroughly understand the building’s report to avoid costly repairs. Also, termites are one of the main problems you need to be aware of.

Busting real estate or renewing paper?

Trading real estate is not for everyone, but it is the fastest way to make money in the real estate business. Most everyone has heard of someone who buys a “run down” house for a good price well below market value, fixes it up, and sells it for fair market value. Casting a “top fixer” is definitely a way to make a reasonably quick profit. I know a few people who do it this way, but they are more into the contractor business and renovations than the investor mindset.

Some of these “top repair” properties are in need of extensive repair and will require electrical work, carpentry work, etc. If the investor gets involved and does some or all of this work, then there might be enough profit there, but if the investor hires the required labor, the profits could be eaten up quickly. For this type of real estate investment, the purchase price must be deeply discounted and would normally be somewhere in the foreclosure stage.

For the person who is in the investing mindset rather than in the renovation business, selling real estate will just mean changing the paper lease on the property without ever taking possession of it. You can change by entering an agreement to buy a property and then sell the contract to another investor before escrow closes.

Using this technique won’t even require you to put your name in the title. The profits will generally be less than the top investor in need of repairs, but it involves a lot less work and the whole process is a lot faster. An investor in need of repairs wouldn’t be happy to earn a few thousand dollars for a few months of work on renovations, but an investor who can trade a contract for a few hours or days of work would be.

Avoid disclosing your earnings to the new buyer by using a double closing.
After making a good deal and trading a contract that involves a hefty profit, you may not want all these details revealed to your buyer. The solution is a double closing, transferring the property to you initially, and then immediately reselling it at the same attorney’s office just an hour later to your buyer.

There’s a downside here and it’s a double set of closing costs, so you’d have to weigh it up to see if it’s worth it for your particular situation or not. Also, you can use a title insurance company for the actual closings. For the issuance of the title insurance policy, the title insurance company will prepare the closing documents and close the transaction generally at no additional charge.

Why convention-goers should consider vacation homes

Today’s convention-goers are increasingly opting to stay in vacation homes rather than hotels/motels. The reasons are varied, but most corporate and business travelers prefer the accommodations and home comforts of vacation homes.

Alternative to crowded and cramped hotels

Today’s vacation homes combine spacious luxury and functional practicality. They offer more rooms and more rooms per room, much more than a hotel or motel for the same price. Most typically have four to five bedrooms with 2.5 to 3 baths. This allows a small group or sales team to spread out and prepare for the next seminar, meeting, or presentation. The houses also have the latest connectivity tools such as high speed internet and WiFi.

Close to the main convention centers

Most vacation homes are conveniently located near today’s most popular convention centers. By being just minutes from convention activities, teams and groups save local travel time. If not within walking distance, many homes are conveniently located near public transportation, or vans and buses operated by the convention center.

Cheaper for small teams, groups

When small teams or groups of convention attendees stay in a hotel or motel, costs can skyrocket quickly. Expensive suites with separate rooms can quickly deplete the funds needed for convention attendees. Vacation homes, on the other hand, offer a single, lower rate for the entire group to keep costs in check. Dining expenses can also get out of control quickly, especially when everyone in the team or group is eating at a hotel/motel or outside restaurant. Most vacation homes feature gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and double oven, pots, pans, dishware, and more, so everyone on the team can eat three full meals a day. . Making these homes even more affordable, many also come with a washer and dryer to save on laundry costs. Some houses even offer housekeeping services.

Full range of entertainment options

Attendees can relax in a vacation home. In addition to elegant and spacious living rooms, most houses have big screen televisions, video game consoles, board games, poker and foosball tables. The houses also have a fireplace and air conditioning to guarantee comfort throughout the year. And they have totally private enclosed pools and relaxing spas or jacuzzis for the exclusive use of the group, without sharing these amenities with strangers.

Private barbecues, pools and spas create a spirit of crops

The private nature of a vacation home can help build the team spirit of a team of convention attendees. Most homes feature a BBQ and spacious patio overlooking a sparkling pool and spa, plus a large outdoor dining table with comfortable seating for the whole crew.

The Revealing Nature of Goan Sausage

To enjoy one of the star dishes of Goan cuisine, you literally have to rip the guts out of it. Goan sausage does not make it to the plate in its original shape, which resembles a long, smooth cylinder rolled into a spiral. There is no such thing as simply frying it for Goan sausage. First, the cook has to open the lid and pour the insides of the sausage over some onion slices that have been previously simmered in additional oil.

Those who are underweight may want to add potato wedges for extra nutrition… anyway, Goan sausage offers a sumptuous collection of bites surrounded by a blend of dark red spices. You can definitely enjoy a tasty treat, but not one that is easy on the stomach or for the faint of heart thanks to a heavy load of cholesterol. As you may have guessed, Goan sausage belongs more in the comfort food category than health food… this asset is shared with the country of origin.

Like its sausage, Goa can satisfy your heart and cause you trouble at the same time. Although it is now considered one of the iconic dishes of Goan cuisine and some people call it a must have in every kitchen cupboard, Goan sausage did not originate here. The art of making sausages was brought to Goa by the Portuguese, who invaded the country around 500 years ago. They converted masses of the local Hindu population, who never ate sausage, to Roman Catholics with a wide variety of non-vegetarian dishes made from freshly imported ingredients.

Portuguese missionaries brought cashews from Brazil. As fervent believers in alcoholic sustenance, they discovered the potential of palm tree toddy as a base for hard liquors. This led to the production of palm and cashew feni and, consequently, to the addiction to alcohol of part of the population. Tamarind from tropical Africa, tobacco, potatoes, pineapples, papayas, and two varieties of chili peppers from Mexico were other imports by the Portuguese invaders. Thus, ingredients from various parts of the world provided Goa with a rich cuisine of its own, unique to India, a blend of east and west.

All of this can be experienced today simply by cutting the skin off a Goan sausage. Immediately, the distinctive aroma of ground spices wafts through the air, tickling the taste buds and promising more deliciousness. Normally this calorie bomb is made with pork but if you are lucky you can find veal and wild boar sausages. The minced meat is salted, mixed with masala and marinated. After being stuffed into a sausage casing, it is cured and dried. This centuries-old tradition of preserving meat without a refrigerator means that these sausages have a shelf life of more than eight months.

Goan sausages have to be hardy as local women farmers sell them under the sun in the city markets. Many families still raise their own pigs and use them to make sausages, mainly for the monsoon season when fresh fish is scarce. However, like Goa, the humble sausage loses its appearance of a simple and cheap meal available for a few rupees in many bars and restaurants once it goes international.

You can buy Goan sausages on the internet for about the same price as Parma ham or smoked salmon. In fairness, the prized Goan sausage must be said to meet UK food standards. The original sold in Goa may have some trouble gaining international backing as local food production sometimes lacks supervision and doesn’t always follow the rules… Once out of the country, however, the Goan sausage negates its humble origins and becomes an expensive delicacy.

The same experience can be done with and in Goa. If you book your vacation on the international market, it can become an expensive affair. Many people pay thousands of dollars to spend a few days in the luxurious resorts scattered along the beautiful southern coast of the country. In these 5-star skies, pampered and protected from any disturbing sights, wealthy tourists can experience the sweet life and leave Goa thinking it is truly another tropical paradise of sun, sand and sea.

Unfortunately, these people have not opened the sausage and have missed out on discovering the soul of Goa. To explore the different morsels of Goa, one has to bring some time, patience, and an inquisitive mind. Once the sausage is cut open, you can see a variety of different bits and pieces. There are white butter dice that resemble some of the tourists who have contributed to the wealth of the country. Like the lard, these pieces somehow lack public recognition. They offer an easy target for criticism in the media by various fractions of Goan society. Politicians especially decry this influx of white meat as a deterioration of local culture whenever they need a scapegoat.

Although they bring millions into the country, no one really thanks these people for the role they play in providing a lot of income for many local citizens. They share this fate with lard and its cured form, bacon: who ever praised the health benefits of lard? Ok, maybe the actual health benefits are few, but one should not forget the tremendous amount of satisfaction and relief after ingesting large amounts of animal flesh.

At this point, you can probably guess that the author of this story is not from the vegetarian part of the population. Another ingredient that the sausage reveals is meat. Now there are a few greyish, whitish bits and also bits of meat that have turned brown from marinating in the masala. Like the so-called hippies who arrived in the country and opened it up to tourism, the basis of Goa’s current wealth, the whitish pieces resisted the influence of masala.

The throngs of peace-loving people who came to Goa in the aftermath of the 1960s gave no thought to the Roman Catholic religion and Hinduism that dominated the country for centuries. All they cared about was living a free and cheap life and throwing big parties. For a few years everyone was happy until greed took over on both sides. Some members of the local community discovered that much more money can be made selling drugs and robbing foreigners rather than just renting rooms and serving food. Unfortunately, some of the foreign guests joined them to profit from the drug trade.

Goa quickly lost its innocence and acquired a bad name internationally as a place where anything goes, even though the country is much bigger than these few pieces. Even if the so-called hippies brought a lot of trouble, at the same time they greatly enriched the culture of Goa. Thanks to foreigners, the flea market in Anjuna developed. This famous market displays a sample of products that come from all corners of the planet thanks to business travelers. The flea market is still a valuable source of income for many local entrepreneurs today.

In recent years, various Saturday night markets provide more business opportunities for local and foreign entrepreneurs. Although these foreigners are often branded as “hippies”, they enabled many Goans to make huge profits. However, they are often indiscriminately condemned in the media as drug dealers and rank very low in the public opinion of the native Goans.

Fortunately, we found many morsels of brown meat that has taken on the color of the masala in our Goan sausage. Like these pieces, many people from different parts of India and the world have come to Goa, incorporated the mix of local spices and added richness to its flavor. Many times there is a big fuss in the media that Goa is losing its culture under all this foreign influx.

At this point, one might ask: what culture to start with? The Hindu and Muslim culture that was present before the Portuguese? Just like the Goan sausage, today’s culture is a mix of many ingredients that come from all over the world. Goa has infused these ingredients into a unique masala, which is sadly not timeless. Once incorporated into the sausage, the masala shares its 8-month shelf life.

So Goan culture, often praised but rarely explained, also remains a subject of change. Of course, it is easy to blame the parts of society, which stand out from the masala, for all the negative changes. The blame game is played around the world and does little to provide solutions to existing problems. What Goa needs are citizens who enjoy the masala mix of the sausage. People exploring all the bits of the ingredients that contribute to this traditional meal – the long list includes saltpeter and the ubiquitous feni.

Many people from all over the world could contribute to making this state a better place. You don’t have to be born in Goa to analyze problems and contribute to their solutions. The world is changing rapidly everywhere. Most of Goa’s problems are not unique to the country. Instead of cultivating xenophobic tendencies, Goa could benefit from experiences from other parts of the world, brought here by internationally minded people.

Perhaps the time has come for Goans to embrace all the different parts of their diverse society. Without the blame game, there would be a lot more time and energy available to address the real issues facing Goa. In the end, everyone would benefit from rolling up their sleeves and tackling problems that cannot be overlooked as ever-growing mountains of garbage. One step towards a bright future for all people living in Goa would be to join forces. Let’s hope that the Goan sausage is ready for a new recipe, equally delicious, but easier to digest.
