The book is heavy enough to read cover to cover in one go. I had trouble even passing the first chapter. Don’t get me wrong, the book is not boring or lacking in substance. Rather, it is filled to the brim with the personal experiences of these 14 marketers that forced me to read the phone transcripts very carefully to fully digest the messages they convey.

The personal successes of these people are really very inspiring. Some of the stories like those told by Jermaine Giggs and Joel Christopher bring me closer, as I had the opportunity to get closer to them personally when they passed through Singapore during an internet marketing seminar in 2007.

It took me almost a week to read the 260-page book, but it was worth every minute invested in reading it. There is a common message that all successful marketers repeat.

The message they are saying can be summarized in 5 short points

  • Have a plan / guide on what you want to do now, in 5 years, 20 years, etc.
  • Have a support team to help you and outsource all the things you are not proficient at.
  • Focus on your strengths and build on them.
  • Take action, don’t just think and then procrastinate.
  • Be focused and positive in your perspective.

Overall, the book was inspirational and a great motivational tool, but it fell short of really viable game plan sketches that one person could model.

To read about each of his personal experiences, I suggest that you get your own copy of E-Millions.
