Product Review: EzWebBusinessBuilder Instructional CD-ROM
While the web is full of information on how we can emulate the successes of others and become millionaires, or never have to work for a boss again, occasionally there are shows that really stand out. Such a program is ezWebBusinessBuilder produced by JDD Publishing Co which I recently bought and tested.
Why does ezWebBusinessBuilder stand out? Because it’s refreshingly different; innovative and based on solid educational principles. Most products just tell you what to do to get rich using strategies said to have been discovered by their authors while creating their own success. This product does that too, but combines it with the far superior Explain-Demonstrate-Practice (EDP) instructional strategy. Not only that, the support resources provided on the JDD Publishing site are excellent.
JDD Publishing’s product consists of a single CD-ROM attractively presented in a nice slipcase. On the CD are 18 videos that guide users through the process of researching and identifying products to sell online, selecting a domain name and producing a sales site, optimizing the site for search engines, analyzing eight different ways to market your products and much more. .
Each video has a show and features an animated character (wearing a blue suit and red tie no less!) who walks you through the process and then disappears in a puff of smoke (literally!). Then follows a link to a page on the JDD Publishing site for “Perform homework from video xx.”
Since Video One through Video 18 topics describe a linear process, simply follow the videos in order and then perform the “Perform Task…” function to implement each step in a logical sequence. It is easy to understand and very easy to do. There’s even a free web design software package for those who don’t have one.
As is common with JDD Publishing media, it is of high quality and works effectively and efficiently. It gets monotonous to watch the 18 videos of the little man in the blue suit, but at the end of the day, if you want to establish an internet presence and make money selling your own products or those of others, ezWebBusinessBuilder will help you take a giant leap in the right direction. . In fact, it would be hard to fail if you follow this recipe.
As an educator, I am impressed with the instructional style, simplicity, and great content that has been built into this product. At less than $100 USD, it is good value for money and comparable to many other less user-friendly products costing the same.
If you want to set up a web business or convert an existing business to the web, all you need to do, according to the CD cover, is “simply insert this CD into your computer and build your web business, step by step.” . . ..when you’ve completed all the steps, you’ll have a functioning and growing internet business!” I agree, but I have to go now…another site to build.
