I read this book at the age of 21, during June 2008. Reading the title alone is enough to arouse immense curiosity within me. It was during the last weeks of the term. But I swear I couldn’t take my eyes off this book at any time of the day. I preferred reading The Game to my engineering curriculum. Such was the level of intensity after reading the first few pages of The Game.

The story begins when Strauss (author) has the opportunity to write articles on dating for men. Then he ran into ‘Mystery’, a self-proclaimed best pickup artist in the world. They soon became best friends. The book tells us the history, events and technologies of the truck industry at that time. Being a new industry, students enter a 3-day training program called boot camp (popularized by Real Social Dynamics) to vastly improve their skills with women.

Among the many stories and endeavors Strauss and his pickup artist friends face, the most memorable is Project Hollywood. It was a training center for aspiring men who wanted to learn the dating skills of the best, ‘Mystery’. There were also many field reports from highly trained men like ‘jlaix’, ‘Tyler Durden’, ‘Herbal’ in addition to Strauss himself. Threesomes and multiple one-night stands are what you can find by reading The Game, in addition to its methods and technology at that particular moment.

Personally, for me, I must say that reading this Strauss book changed my life for the better. It can guide you in the right direction to become a more attractive and more importantly masculine man. As it did with me, I am now improving my life as a personal development agenda in all areas of life.

I recommend that you read it, only if they are sample pages. By reading a story from his life journey (Strauss), one can learn a lot and apply it to his own.
