Optical fibre wires

Each fiber optic cable guide includes a radius limiting portion that prevents fiber optic cables from bending beyond their minimum bend radius. Fiber optic cables have clear advantages over copper cables. There is more security and fiber optic cables are more reliable than any other cable available. The fiber optic cable is in a high voltage environment. In this article, the dry band voltage of the contaminated jacket surface of self-supporting all-dielectric fiber optic cable is analyzed.

Fiber optic cable 700, shown in FIG. The FIMT 702 core includes an inner tube 706 that surrounds one or more optical fibers 708. Fiber optic cable is the primary choice for high-speed Internet connections and the primary material used for country-to-country or continent-to-country Internet connections. to continent. By moving the connection type from copper to fiber optics, it will allow DisplayPort to achieve higher bandwidths that are necessary for HDTV playback, and if you consider that there are many games you can play over the Internet, stream them directly over the DisplayPort. to your LCD television could be an option that the industry will take in the near future. Fiber optic cable can be easily installed from one point to another, passing right next to the main sources of EMI without any effect. Converting copper networks is easy with media converters, devices that convert most types of systems to fiber optics.

The fiber optic cable assembly includes a fiber optic fiber bundle, a tube, a track, a plurality of fasteners, and a fastener means. The tube has a front surface and a rear surface. The fiber optic cable transmits the photon to a second quantum dot that is also located between two mirrors. In this case, the mirrors “catch” the photon and bounce it off the quantum dot until it is finally absorbed. Fiber optic cable has one end that is stripped. The stripped end includes a bare fiber that extends into the connector and through the ferrule.

Fiber optic cable carries multiple services throughout the campus, including: voice, video, cable television, and data. In addition to having fiber cable, new fiber cable television distribution equipment became more widely available at reduced cost. The fiber optic cable and lens allow the instrument’s electronics to be kept away from the intended environment, where they would be subject to higher temperatures, smoke, dust, steam, or powerful electromagnetic emissions, such as those generated by induction heating. Both the stainless steel lens and rugged cable assembly are field replaceable without returning the instrument for calibration (a unique feature). The Fiber Optic Cable Blower is designed for the installation of fiber optic cables with diameters from 0.23″ (5.8mm) to 1.13″ (28.7mm) in 0.98″ ( 25mm) OD to 1.97″ (50.0mm) OD . The correct size venturi, feed tube and cable seals must be determined for the cable being installed.

The fiber optic cable receives information from the reflection from the surface of the 3/4 inch diameter inner sphere. The IS1 is ideal for portable color measurements and acts as a cosine receiver for irradiance measurements. The fiber optic cable (20) includes a light carrying core (28), a cladding (30), and a buffer (32). The liner moving connector (10) has surfaces (60, 62) that can be used to move the stop (32) and liner (30) to expose (34) the light carrying center (28).

Fiber optic cables carry information in the form of light. To make a fiber-optic nanowire, engineers first start with a regular fiber-optic cable. Fiber optic cable is now used to carry video and audio signals for short and long distances. This is possible by modulating video/audio signal(s) into a coherent light beam, which is generated by a solid-state laser.

Fiber optic cables are not crimped, soldered or twisted when repaired. If the cable is broken, another cable must be cut to fit between the two connectors. Fiber optic technology is well known in telecommunications, local area networks, the CCTV security market, and in many intelligent transportation system (ITS) highway projects. Even the distribution of CATV (cable) to various local feed points within a residential community is now routine for fiber.

Network operators are looking to recoup the cost of fiber optic cable and other pieces of infrastructure that make high-speed Internet possible. They argue that the upgrades are necessary to deliver innovations such as high-definition video on demand and high-quality teleconferencing. Our standard fiber optic ribbon cables provide superior tensile strength, cut and abrasion resistance, while maintaining flexibility. Cables are available for the aerospace industry and other demanding applications. The fiber optic cable did not allow that.

glass

Fiber optic cabling is made from glass fibers. They provide very little variation in the signal they transmit over long distances. Optical engineers have discovered that adding different additional chemicals to basic silicon dioxide can change the optical properties of glass. By adding about 4% germanium dioxide (GeO2), for example, they can create a glass that has much less attenuation and much “flatter” attenuation at various frequencies of light than silicon dioxide by itself. Although the fibers can be made of plastic or glass, the fibers used in long-distance telecommunications applications are always made of glass, due to the lower optical absorption of glass. Light transmitted through the fiber is confined due to total internal reflection within the material.

FYI, the optical fiber (the core, not the sheath that covers it) is made of glass and not plastic. The glass fiber optic strands (optic fibers) within fiber optic cables carry analog or digital signals in the form of light waves. The distance and capabilities will increase even more once the glass becomes more pure.

Remembering the headache and bright white light of high SiO2 glass, Richard knew the formula would be ultrapure SiO2. Richard also knew that Corning produced high purity SiO2 powder by oxidizing pure SiCl4 to SiO2. NEP Supershooters have adapters that work around the fiber when breaking glass, but this means the camera must be powered from the nearest outlet or generator. It’s just one more thing that can go wrong if the plug pulls or the generator shuts down. A fiber optic cable consists of a silica glass core through which light is guided. This is covered with a material with a slightly lower refractive index than the core.

The core and cladding (which has a lower refractive index) are usually made of high-quality silica glass, although they can also be made of plastic. The connection of two optical fibers is done by fusion splicing or mechanical splicing and requires special skills and interconnection technology due to the microscopic precision required to align the fiber cores. A type of cable that transmits data as light through glass strands rather than electricity through copper. Fiber optic cable is a wonderful thing; it can transmit almost unbelievable amounts of data per second, and is completely impervious to power surges, magnetic fields, lightning, and all other electromagnetic nuisances that can affect copper wire. Fiber optic data transmission uses light from fiberglass cable as the communication medium. It is ideal for covering areas with severe interference, such as near heavy electrical equipment, welding, or radio transmissions.

Fiber optics are thin strands of glass through which light beams are transmitted. The advantages of fiber include high information-carrying capacity (bandwidth), very low error rates, and insensitivity to electromagnetic interference. The bare glass (125mm) is then cleaned and placed under a special laser under a custom photo mask that is placed 50mm above the wire. Once the laser completes its cycle, the assembly is already customized. Abraham Van Heel coated a bare fiber, glass, or plastic with a lower refractive index transparent coating. This protected the total reflecting surface from contamination and greatly reduced inter-fiber crosstalk.

Fiber optic cable consists of glass fibers, which allows for significantly higher transfer rates compared to copper. The data is transmitted in the form of pulses of light injected by a laser or an LED. The cable uses glass fibers instead of copper wires to transmit conversations and data. Old AT&T cables usually don’t have sharks because they don’t give off much magnetism. Glass cables need to be cut to size so they have a nice sharp edge that won’t scatter light, but their plastic cousins can be trimmed on the jobsite. Still, no ordinary wire cutters will do.

From a technical point of view, fiber optic cable consists of a bundle of glass or plastic rods that can transmit data signals. Fiber optic cable can send and receive in both analog and digital formats, and can carry video, voice, and Internet packets. Some new cable designers will actually provide built-in bend limits to protect the internal glass.

While copper cables can be spliced and repaired as often as needed, glass fiber optic cables are much more difficult to repair. And this time not everything depends on a market (although LCD glass is huge). We have LCD glass, automotive/diesel catalytic converter substrates, and fiber. Theoretical work showing that light loss in glass fibers could be dramatically reduced stimulated experimental efforts to produce such fibers. Researchers continued to explore techniques to decrease light loss in optical fibers.

The light beam bounces off the side of the cable’s glass or plastic fibers, which are thinner than a human hair. The light does not pass through the fiber wall, but is reflected and travels to the end of the fiber.

Using the Facebook algorithm to grow your podcast

The Facebook algorithm is constantly updated. The various weights and relevance that Facebook can assign to these areas can be changed. But the general use of the Four Factors should remain fairly constant. If used correctly, you can use Facebook to your advantage to promote your podcast, your profile, or your business.

When the Facebook Algorithm looks at your posts, it looks at four areas: Inventory, Signals, Predictions, and Scores. I talked in a previous article in depth about what each of these areas really represents.

Each person who has an account on Facebook receives their own individual score through the algorithm. This score is unique to each person and is determined by their own connections, interests, and how they interact with various content.

So, if you interact more than your friends or family about a post or article, your score for that post will be higher than your acquaintances. Facebook’s algorithm will use this information to show you other content it thinks you’ll interact with as you go.

Let’s use an example to illustrate this:

Suppose a friend you work with publishes a post about implementing robotics technology at his company. The publication discusses how it will make the shipping and receiving area more efficient and save the company millions of dollars per year in expenses.

His friend then comments that he will cut the workforce of employees in that department in half and that is where the savings will come from.

You “Like” that post. Then “share” that post and “tag” a couple of other co-workers in the process. You comment that you don’t like it when “computers take over.”

Your friends then “like” and “share” with their social profiles. They also leave comments.

Over the course of a few hours, the original author, you, and those who have commented strike up a conversation. You can even post some links to other content that supports your point of view.

Others who don’t work for your company also see this and interact. Leaving comments and sharing the post with your followers. Some of them post it to groups they’re in and that leads to additional comments and shares.

The Facebook algorithm takes ALL of that data and gives this post a HIGH SCORE. There is a lot of interaction. Lots of exchange between various interests and groups. This is the kind of Facebook post that will promote to other sources and timelines, even those you don’t know. They could be “friends of friends” (in Facebook terminology).

In the process, Facebook determines that you need to see more of the person who originated the post. The algorithm has determined that you will likely be commenting and interacting with additional information that this person posts on their own timeline and feed. Which, once you see it, you do!

The same would happen with other people. Facebook will show them more information about YOU.

Have you ever received those “Friend Recommendations” from Facebook? Those are not random recommendations. The Facebook Algorithm has determined that you and those you are not connected with have a lot in common. They are trying to get you to connect so that more interactions between your contact list and your contact list can happen. This in turn will grow Facebook!

Have you ever had one of those posts where you share something with the world and no one notices? Your mom can give a like, but is that all? I know I have. That used to confuse me. How can other people get tremendous traffic but I get next to nothing?

Well that’s how it works and why those posts fail.

It’s all about algorithm scoring again. But this time, a “low score” instead of a high score.

Let’s say you make a post about something you haven’t discussed with your group before (or it’s been a long time since you last shared something about that topic).

It could be something as random as posting a memory about your high school graduation.

Nobody comments. You can have 800 likes. But no one comments. You can have 1,000 views. But only three comments and one action.

The Facebook algorithm will not give this post a high score. You will get a relatively LOW score, even if you have 800 or 1000 likes. Facebook does not judge “likes” in the same way as “shares”, nor does it judge “shares” as much as comments and interaction.

Because this post has such a low rating, it won’t be shared with most of your contacts. Perhaps your immediate family will see it. But that’s it. Unless you start having a conversation with someone (anyone, even your family), this post is going nowhere.

Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, all the social media platforms out there, use an algorithm to support the platform. This algorithm is used to determine what other people will interact with on the platform. Links that take people away from the platform receive lower scores.

This is important to remember when posting your information on these social networking sites. If you want to increase your visibility, especially on Facebook, you need to use the algorithm to your advantage.

Recruiting and fostering dynamic CSRs even in rural America! (3 easy steps)

If there’s one resounding challenge I hear when I visit agency managers, it’s that they’re struggling to hire and keep staff. I have an approach that I believe can enable anyone to hire not just someone, but someone dynamic, regardless of the job they’re hiring for or where their company is located. I will elaborate some of my theory behind this in the 3 step schematic.

You need people and people are everywhere. It sounds simple, even ridiculously obvious, but don’t give up on me just yet. Let me elaborate. I believe that the way we staff our companies needs to adapt to embrace the many changes influencing life as we know it today. The tried and true standard for finding employees would be to post the position or contact a recruiter, which anyone reading this is probably already pretty good at, so my suggestion is to perhaps round out your hiring process with an alternative approach. And this technique starts with the recognition that you meet potential employees every day, because you have to interact with people every day. Why not slow down and engage with a few of these people long enough to gauge the potential value?

Let me break it down into steps and examples:

1. Define what you want in your next CSR. Sounds simple again right? I suggest you spend a little more time on this particular step, as it will not only help you find who you are looking for, but it will also help you foster the growth of your already established staff. Think about who would be the best customer service representative within your agency and then grab a notepad (some old school practices are still my favorites) and write down what attributes or skills you want your potential CSR to have and then rank them according to its importance. , I have created a very simplified example below to use when explaining this concept:

1 honesty
2 Positive attitude
3 Utility
4 problem solver
5 Notice
6 licensed
7 Previous insurance experience
8 Respectful
9 fast learning
10 adaptable
11 professional appearance

Defining your idea of what you are looking for is half the battle. If you take your time and really think about this step, it will not only help you find an employee, but it will also help you restructure your approach and expectations of your current staff. Write it. Seriously, this is key.

2. Realize that the people you meet every day are your potential employees. Now that you have defined the position you are looking to fill, the fun begins. Yes, I said fun. Why does this process have to be tedious? You are looking to bring a person into your workplace with whom you will spend a significant amount of energy and time. Shouldn’t you enjoy the process of meeting people? I hope you will. Even those of you who don’t love meeting new people can certainly recognize the importance of the process I’m explaining in this article.

You meet people every day and these are your potential employees. When you run errands, buy groceries, go out to eat, go to the movies, attend social events, or go to church. You meet people and if you start looking at them in a different way you can start a preliminary interview of a possible new employee. Here is an example:

Let’s say you’re at a restaurant with a group of friends, your server is clearly in a bad spot because the restaurant is full and they’re short on 2 employees. Still the experience is not horrible because of the way the waiter handles the situation. He maybe he communicates clearly, he gives you a snack to keep you satisfied until the food arrives, he puts down the pitcher of water and maintains a good attitude despite the difficult circumstance he finds himself in because his co-workers don’t know. they presented. In this example, his potential employee has just shown him that he has a good attitude, that he’s adaptable, and also a good problem solver…three of the items on your list (maybe four if his appearance is acceptable) . This person might be worth talking about a bit more. Dining at an understaffed restaurant could have given you a potential CSR. Seriously, this really is that easy. Is there a super-friendly assistant at the dry cleaner who you always look forward to seeing when he drops off his clothes? Why? What attributes does this person have that could make them a good employee for you? Think of all the interactions you had last week during your daily errands. You can probably recognize some examples even now.

The other wonderful part of this approach is that you can figuratively dip your toes in the water without jumping. You can engage this person in a conversation, ask him a few questions, and see if perhaps he employs even more qualities than he is looking for. If you like what they hear, ask them to visit your office and see if they might be interested in working with you. Not everyone will be a perfect match or interested. This is the equivalent of posting an ad, but your chances are much better to find the right one for your office.

3. Clearly define your expectations in the role of the new employee. Fast Forward: Assuming you have successfully gone through steps one and two and have now hired a new CSR, the process is not complete. It is equally important to structure the initial phase of bringing someone into a new work environment to ensure that both of you communicate well. Clearly define your expectations within the new hire’s role and let them know what is most important to you and how they can meet your expectations. Commit to a specific time frame in which you will participate in new hire training in daily, weekly and monthly increments and make it a priority. Encourage feedback so the new hire can quickly feel a part of the new company by engaging in constructive conversations with you and/or their supervisors. Lastly, always have a list of what defines the ultimate CSR on hand and continually guide your employees to improve in that role. Enroll them in classes, conduct training, give constructive criticism, encourage them, and reward good behavior.

In a nutshell, for you to have employees who truly follow your company and your expectations, you must clearly define them and communicate them effectively and frequently.

Robo Defense Android Game Review

Robo Defense game for android phone has taken the ever popular free approach with extra features if you buy the full game. However, the great part about Robo Defense is that it is a fully functional game, even if you don’t choose to purchase the game to unlock all the extras. Right now, Robo Defense is the best free game in the Tower Defense genre, mainly because they can fund the development with the number of people who buy the full game. This game is one of the most downloaded games on the free Android game market and consistently ranks in the top 10 Android games on most game review websites.

The general concept of this game is that an army is coming to attack your base and you can’t let it get to the entrance of your base. Therefore, you must defend the battlefield outside your base with towers. Towers can be used to block enemies, as well as to fire machine guns, rockets, slow cannons, flak, and flamethrowers. The number of towers doesn’t seem too impressive when you first load the game, but remember that each tower can be upgraded at least once and some can be upgraded much more than that.

For every army unit that comes to attack you and you kill, you get money. With money you can buy different towers or upgrade existing ones, which makes this game almost like “leveling up” as you buy new units.

This game is incredibly addictive and a lot of fun. It is highly recommended that you play the free version before purchasing the full game because the tower defense genre is a niche genre within the gaming world and definitely not for everyone. But for those who love tower defense, Robo Defense is the best out there for Android phone right now, so it is recommended that you go for it. After all, it’s free on the Android Marketplace.

Using ICTs to create jobs and empower youth

In the 21st century, every country should have put in place mechanisms that provide humble time for the prosperity of its citizens; however, this is not the case, there are still several challenges that most countries face, such as lack of employment and illiteracy. The advancement of technology, especially in the ICT sector, has presented several viable opportunities that young people can explore to improve their future. ICT may not be the only solution to eradicate poverty in the developing world, but it is worth the effort.

It is a shame that several countries pay little attention to information and communication technology (ICT) innovations given the potential they possess to address the modern challenges faced by unemployed youth around the world. The use of ICTs in the developing world to empower and create jobs for the young generation must be vigorously explored and pursued if governments are to drastically eradicate problems related to unemployment; it is and should be considered a key tool to drive countries towards economic growth.

Recent statistics indicate that young people make up more than half of the world’s population; 81 million are unemployed according to 2008 statistics, which represents an additional 7.8 million compared to the previous year. To make matters worse, it is said that 87 per cent of the world’s youth reside in developing countries where employment opportunities are few and limited. However, by adopting ICTs, governments will be able to provide young people with a greater space of prosperity through innovations and exploitation of the global market.

ICTs have provided the developing world with youth employment opportunities, outsourcing information, online business opportunities, etc.; Large corporations abroad prefer to outsource services to companies in the developing world, as it is cheaper than hiring in-house employees. Apparently, it would be more expensive to hire employees and pay them monthly salaries plus perks like travel, medical coverage, and retirement benefits than to outsource those services to offshore firms where the cost of production is low and labor is cheap.

Entrepreneurial opportunities include selling products and services online, as well as working for companies abroad from home, these services may include data entry, transcription and survey taking. On the other hand, young people can sell products in their own online stores and accept payments through recognized global payment solution providers, such as MasterCard Visa and PayPal. Additionally, they can set up affiliate accounts or become a reseller and promote products on their websites while earning commission on sales.

Young people can also explore ICT opportunities that are not necessarily online-oriented, such as mobile payment solutions in the vast mobile phone industry.

How to relieve allergies and allergic dark circles

There are many different types of allergies, and millions of people around the world suffer from the irritating and miserable symptoms every day. And although one in five adults in the United States suffers from the symptoms of nasal allergies, the problem remains shockingly underdiagnosed and undertreated.

Some allergy symptoms can become so severe that they actually cause allergic dark circles under and around the eyes. Allergic dark circles cause the areas under the eyes to become puffy and discolored as in the case of a black eye or dark circles.

Allergic black eyes can make a person look like they just got through a round or two of boxing in the ring with Mike Tyson. The discoloration and swelling are the result of allergic symptoms that cause congestion of small blood vessels located under the skin in these areas. Nasal rhinitis, which is a nasal allergy, is known to produce a combination of problems that can include dark circles under the eyes, swelling of the throat, watery eyes, headaches, mouth breathing, and more.

A short list of several different types of allergies includes, but is not limited to, the following:

food allergies

seasonal allergies

nasal allergies

pet allergies

plant allergies

drug allergies

Sinusitis

Hay fever

Urticaria

· And more

How to relieve allergies:

You will discover that there are several different methods used to learn allergy relief; however, it is best if you can isolate the cause of your allergy symptoms so that you can better determine which treatment is best for your particular case.

If your allergies are severe and keep you from doing your daily tasks, it’s probably best to see an allergen specialist; They will perform a series of blood and scratch tests that can help identify the cause. The doctor or specialist can then make recommendations for more appropriate over-the-counter medications, administer an injection to relieve symptoms, and offer other forms of treatment and advice.

A specialist can also administer desensitizing treatments that can help prevent or minimize future allergic reactions. Sublingual drops placed directly under the tongue can also be used for desensitization and are a suitable alternative for those who do not wish to visit a specialist or doctor regularly. If a monthly visit to a doctor is not an issue, you may also consider getting a monthly EPD or enzyme potentiated desensitization.

People should always keep in mind the many factors involved when it comes to allergy symptoms. The presence and severity of a variety of allergies can be caused and affected by anything from your home environment, geographic location, pollen counts, pollen sources, and much more. Understanding how these factors affect your specific allergies will help you determine what steps to take to treat them.

Here is a list of tips and suggestions on how to relieve allergies of the most common types:

1. The first thing you’ll want to do for allergy relief is clean and dust the entire house. Vacuum all rugs and drapes with a vacuum equipped with a HEPA filter.

2. Service and replace all air filters in the home immediately and continue to do so every 30 days. This includes your heating and air conditioning unit, as well as the furnace.

3. Keep allergens out by closing windows and other entrances to the house. Turning on the air conditioning unit will also help circulate the air and filter out excess pollen.

4. Determine if antihistamines or decongestants better help relieve allergies and symptoms. Decongestants should be used to achieve immediate symptom relief by constricting the small blood vessels located under the skin under the eyes and in the membranes of the nose. On the other hand, antihistamines are designed to block the harmful effects that histamines cause in the first place.

5. For puffy, watery eyes, try an eye cream that contains caffeine; Cold and caffeine work to reduce swelling.

6. Try using a prescription nasal spray like Nasonex or Flonase. These reduce swelling in the nasal passage and relieve irritating allergic symptoms. Many doctors will prescribe antihistamine nasal sprays when oral antihistamines are not effective. Treating the problem directly at its source can have a much better effect than taking oral antihistamines.

7. Use an all-natural saltwater rinse to remove irritants like pollen from your nose.

8. Use your vehicle’s recirculation feature when driving instead of opening the windows. This will reduce the amount of pollen and other irritants that get into the vehicle.

9. Try immunotherapy techniques. This works by gradually releasing exposure to common allergens that are hard to stay away from, like pollen. The goal is to train the immune system to ignore and not react to these allergens. Immunotherapy should only be used when other forms of treatment are not effective.

10. Try natural remedies. All-natural antihistamines can help reduce congestion, while antimicrobial herbs like grapefruit seed extract, golden root, nettle, and butterbur also help prevent sinus allergies and nasal infections.

After you learn how to relieve allergies and they continue to cause a problem, you should always take them seriously and visit your personal physician or an allergen specialist as soon as possible.

Using the "cabling" short reporter

(The original of the following article was published in the Milwaukee Law Journal in 2002. Following are innovative changes in technology and process since the original publication.)

The introduction of computers to the court reporting industry in the mid-1970s opened the door to many new reporting products and services and is ultimately creating greater capacity for litigators. Computer-assisted transcription (CAT), the process of having a computer convert a reporter’s stenographic notes into English, was the advent of a technology that has shaped today’s world of wire reporting. Just like every other industry, court reporters are now part of the fast-paced, technologically advanced world of iPads, the Internet, etc. [1]

The following is a brief case scenario incorporating the many services currently available from the tech-savvy reporting firm in discovery or discovery and at hearing or trial:

A week-long series of fact witness statements begins after discovery documents are filed by all parties. Deposition transcripts are produced in full-size and condensed paper (up to 16 pages per physical page) along with digital PDF versions [2] that have the evidence indexed and linked to each case within the testimony for instant retrieval, and in ASCII files, in the many formats available, for text search on the computer through case management or filing software judgments.[3] A week later, the lawyer travels to a remote location to testify a witness. In order for the remote reporter to be able to accurately transcribe in real time (immediate live transcription of the spoken word, viewable on a computer screen), a word list containing the various unique terms from all statements was emailed. earlier in the case. Several opposing attorneys chose not to attend in person, choosing instead to receive the real-time ASCII feed, in addition to video and audio via remote video conferencing., live on their desktop computers in their office via a standard Internet connection, taking personal notes and chatting online with co-counsel, raising objections as needed via video conference.[4] A lawyer was stranded in a remote location but still attended the deposition on his iPhone. At the completion of the deposition, the real-time stream, essentially a draft ASCII file, is stored on the attorneys’ computers for use in preparation for the next deposition (before the certified transcript is produced). The annotated version was emailed to staff or a colleague to draft a motion.[5] The video and audio were also stored online for immediate review.[6] An attorney was on a flight at the time of the deposition and was viewing the real-time text feed on an iPad via the plane’s internet connection, which he was then able to annotate on the plane in preparation for the next deposition.

All along, reporter scheduling was handled through a secure login to the reporting company’s online scheduling manager, producing both electronic and printed confirmations.[7] The attorney used a secure Internet connection to view activity reports, download and view ASCII files and exhibits., and check the deposition schedule on the reporter’s network system 24/7. There was some last minute information needs, deposition location, previous deposition transcripts and evidence, which the attorney was able to get on his iPad/iPhone using his mobile app. An exhibit believed to be contained in the large banker’s box disappeared, but the smartphone app gave access to that exhibit and all others in the case.

A series of three expert witness depositions is now scheduled, two in New York on Monday and Tuesday, and one Wednesday in Los Angeles. The first two days will occur with daily, real-time delivery, with the Los Angeles expert (Wednesday’s witness) receiving both days of live testimony via streaming video/audio/text, plus an email of the draft ASCII at the end of each day to prepare for your return.[8] Tuesday’s transcript requires additional delivery attention when Wednesday’s witness email was down. The reporting firm arranged with a local business to receive, print, and deliver the transcript within an hour. Two of the attorneys were unable to make the trip to Los Angeles, so they received a real-time feed at their respective offices, where they also viewed and participated in the deposition via remote videoconference. Remote video conferencing was also used for the LA expert who needed to be dropped off at his office, using a standard computer with a video camera and Internet connection.

Videotape services were requested for the three experts with picture-in-picture production so that the witness and referenced documents could be viewed simultaneously. Afterwards, the video was synchronized with the ASCII text file, the exhibits were also linked to the text., and stored on DVD, portions of which will be used in a big-screen trial presentation for impeachment purposes.

All attorneys plan to receive real-time transmission of transcripts and delivery of certified copies of transcripts daily at trial so that they have the necessary tools for witness preparation and prosecution when appropriate. Previous testimony from all witnesses and previously scanned exhibits now reside with them in court on the attorneys’ computers. If they discover that a transcript or evidence file is missing, it can be retrieved immediately by connecting to the reporting company’s online access. One of the attorneys requested a portable video file that would be compatible with his trial filing app for her iPad.

Currently, at the forefront of all these technologies is real-time translation. As described above, this service has provided great assistance to attorneys in immediately tracking testimony in large case depositions or trials, or any complex litigation, where the litigation team needs to keep pace with events as they unfold. occur (and make them available to the hearing impaired). ).[9] When compared to the costs of overnight or daily rush copies, real-time is actually less expensive. You still have the costs associated with a final certified transcript from the reporter, but you would also have if you had ordered a rush transcript; furthermore, with realtime the approximate version is already available when the day’s procedure is concluded. More capacity, time saving and less expensive – it’s worth it!

How does real time work? The real-time court reporter connects your computerized court reporter via cable or wirelessly to your laptop containing software that translates the reporter’s keystrokes against a global dictionary of words written by the reporter in their reporting theory.[10] As the reporter presses the shorthand keys, the computer quickly compares those strokes to the reporter’s dictionary and displays matches and “untranslated” (raw shorthand for which there is no match) on the computer screen. The same results are exported from the reporter’s computer to software (LiveNote, Summation, CaseViewNet) on the attorney’s computer for monitoring, annotating, problem coding, and digest.

A real-time feed is not edited and will most likely contain some errors. It is not suitable or permitted to be used for citations in court proceedings because it is not a certified transcript.

Complex technical cases require the reporter to prepare for real-time by inserting single-case terminology into their dictionaries so they can produce a more accurate real-time feed. The more experienced and skillful the reporter, the more developed the dictionary, the more controlled the speakers in the forum, and the better the real-time results.

Be sure to ask for a reporter whose real-time skills you’re already familiar with, or when traveling, ask for a certified real-time reporter who has been screened and certified by the National Association of Court Reporters. For more information on real-time and other reporting services, contact your local court reporting agency.

[1] It took several years for court reporters and the reporting technology industry to realize the benefits of using these new technologies. Today’s court reporter can hardly exist without them.

[2] Linked (or Hyperlinked) Documents – Creates a connection to an external document that can be viewed instantly when clicked. Now the attorney can view the transcript and see each exhibit as it is mentioned in the text.

[3] PDF documents are now the dominant and most universal file format used by computer users around the world to view text and graphics, and have become the standard over the last 10 years.

[4] Remote video conferencing is all the rage in 2012: the ability to use video conferencing technology between portable computing devices (iPads, laptops, etc.) and standard video conferencing equipment (Polycom, Tandberg) over the Internet. Unlike Skype or Google Hangouts, reporting companies use encrypted products for added security and stability.

[5] Legal video and audio of depositions can be stored in the cloud for immediate review over the Internet.

[6] Products such as TextMap, Summation, and LiveNote export a document containing the attorney’s work product (markup, annotations, etc.) that can be shared with team members.

[7] Tech-savvy reporting companies offer online portals to set up and track reporting schedules, download and view transcripts and evidence, and access calendar and activity reports.

[8] The video and text transmission makes it possible to attend the deposition and view the text in real time live from anywhere with an Internet connection.

[9] The federal government’s ADA requirement that all television networks be closed captioned by 2006 has caused a loss of our real-time court reporter talent pool, creating a shortage. There is now competition between reporting companies and captioning companies for real-time writers. This shortage gave the federal government an incentive to pass legislation that recently approved financial grants for reporting/closed captioning training programs across the country. These schools now offer scholarships to encourage more students to enter these programs so that the ADA closed captioning mandates can be met.

[10] It is now standard practice to receive a real-time stream via wireless Bluetooth, as an alternative to a wired connection.

10 upcoming gadgets and technologies to change the world

Digital technology has come a long way in leaps and bounds in the last five years. Cloud computing, smartphones and multi-touch tablets are the innovations that revolutionized our personal and work lives. Well, it’s just a start. The technology will get even better. In the near future, we could lead a life like in science fiction movies.

So get ready to slice Ninja fruits through your gestures and control the desktop with your eyes, print your own physical product and enter the virtual world and experience virtual reality. Here’s the roundup of the top 10 real-life gadgets and technologies that will change the world.

google glass

Augmented reality is here in the form of a simulated educational and experimentation app. But Google has taken several steps forward by launching Google Glass. Theoretically, you can see your texts, social networks, Google Maps and navigate via GPS. You can also get updates on the ground. Currently, it is offered only to some developers at $1,500. But other tech companies are working and trying to build an affordable variant for commercial sales.

Form 1

3D printing could turn any digital design into a real life product. It is nothing new for the mechanical industry, but a 3D printer is certainly a revolutionary idea. Everyone can create their own product with their unique design and you don’t need any company’s approval. Even the Aston Martin in a James Bond movie was a 3D printed product that crashed for a scene.

The Form 1 is a personal 3D printer that you can buy for $2,799. It seems like a very high price but you can produce your own prototypes with it. Imagine a day when any professional can mass produce their own physical products with no limits.

oculus rift

Oculus Rift is a 3D viewer that would bring virtual reality to life. It allows you to feel like you are actually in a video game mentally. In your virtual world, you can see the world on HD screen with very low latency just by turning your head. Various premium products can do the same thing, but Rift delivers that experience for just $300. It’s the start of the next-gen gaming revolution.

The world is bombarded with virtual reality devices. So, it is the right time to plunge into the whole virtual world. Oculus Rift is the first step in reaching that level of realism.

jump motion

The concept of a multi-touch desktop fails miserably because hands can get too tired for prolonged use. But Leap Motion could come up with a more innovative idea. You can control your desktop with your fingers, without having to touch the screen.

Unlike a regular motion sensor, Leap Motion allows the user to zoom in on photos and map, scroll a web page, sign documents, and also play FPS games with just finger and hand movements. A smooth reaction is a very important part of this. This technology of the future could be yours for just $70. You could buy a premium PS3 game title for this price. If it could work with the Oculus Rift, it could definitely give your games a real-time makeover.

smart stuff

In most of the devices, the existing problem is that they work independently and the technology leaders need an effort to partner with each other and create products that can connect with each other. With Smart Things, you can make every digital connect, whether it’s digital or not. You can easily get your humidity, vibration and pressure sensors, and smoke alarms to detect things and alert you using your smartphone.

You can also track who’s been to your house, turn on the lights when you enter the room, and lock the doors and windows when you leave the house, all with a device that could cost around $500.

Eye Tribe

Eye tracking has already been actively discussed by tech lovers, but it’s not that simple to implement. But not so for Eye Tribe. They successfully created a technology that can allow you to control the tablet, play flight simulator and even play Fruit Ninja with just eye movements.

It’s basically just eye-tracking technology that can be combined with a front-facing camera and some serious computerized algorithm. At LeWeb, a live demo was held this year and we may see it in action in the future. The company is still looking for a partnership to bring this technology to market.

Firefox operating system

As we all know, there is no competition for Android and iOS. But both have their own policies and rules that inhibit developers and their creative efforts. Since then, Mozilla decided to develop a new mobile operating system from the ground up, which will focus on freedom, true openness, and user choice.

It’s Firefox OS, which is based on the Gecko, Gonk, and Gaia software layers. It means that it is completely open source and carries HTML5 and CSS3 technologies.

Developers can release apps without the lock-in needs set by the stores. Therefore, users can also customize the operating system according to their needs. Currently, it is available for Android compatible devices. It can be used to perform basic tasks that you do on Android or iOS devices, such as browsing the web, calling friends, playing games, etc.

Fiona Project

Razer’s Project Fiona is supposed to be the first generation of gaming tablets. It’s seriously built for hardcore gaming. Tech companies can also develop their dedicated gaming tablets. It features Intel Core i7 CPU to play all the PC games you love in the palm of your hand. Razer has developed a tablet-only user experience, along with a magnetometer, 3-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, and multi-touch user interface.

parallel

It will clearly redefine the way computers are made. It is simply a supercomputer for everyone. It is an energy-saving computer built to process complex programs efficiently and simultaneously. It will make the holographic display screen, real-time object tracking and voice recognition even smarter and stronger.

Google driverless car

We have all imagined that a driverless car would be real one day. Finally, Google has made it possible. It works with artificial intelligence that receives information from video cameras, a sensor on top, and some position and radar sensors in various positions on the car. Much research and development has been done to mimic human intelligence.
